Nails Of The Week - Accessorize Purple Dream

As soon as I saw the Accessorize polishes on other blogs I have been desperate to try them. My local superdrug got in a small range but didn't have the duo-chrome colours. Well I nipped in there today and they finally had them! I picked up 3 as they are on 3 for 2 at the moment and I put on Puprle Dream as soon as I got home. It's absolutely gorgeous, I love it! My boyfriend actually says it is one of the best colours I have shown him. Its a purple base which flashes blue and pink in different lights. It was really hard to capture in photos but I have tried my best.

Have you tried anything from the Accessorize range, anything you think I should pick up?

Illamasqua Sangers Lipstick

I am sure you have all seen plenty of posts on Illamasqua's Throb collection. I tried to resist, I really did but Sangers was just calling to me! I am loving red lips at the moment and I had to add this to my collection.
These are not the best photos as I just quickly applied it as soon as I got home from work but I think the colour is pretty true.

Do you have any other red recommendations for me?

Nails Of The Week - Mavala Elle

I picked up 3 Mavala polishes the other day and Elle was one of those colours that I had been meaning to pick up for awhile. I am usually really impressed with Mavala colours but I have to admit I was a bit dissapointed with this one. The colour is a purple/grey/brown mix and although it looks more brown in the pictures in real life the purple shows a bit more but the colour is just a bit meh, I have other colours in this sort of family that I like more. The wear was awful, in less than a day I had tipwear and chipping! I can't definately lay the blame on the polish though as I used Seche Vite which I think is turning as it's going really thick.

I think it will look nice with a design stamped on it though which I think I will do next time I wear it.

Eye Of The Day Using Mac Warm Thrillseekers

I had a chance to have another play with the warm thrillseekers set and I came up with this simple neutral eye. I really like this combination and think it makes a lovely daytime subtle look. I am really impressed with this set of pigments, I really thought I would hate the reflects bronze glitter but I used it the other day on top of a darker smokey eye to add some sparkle and its gorgeous! Anyway onto the look

Products Used
UDPP
Mac Gift O' Glamour on lid and blended into crease
Mac Most Darling on outer corners and blended into crease
Mac Black Line Pearlglide liner on upper and lower lashline
Covergirl Lashblast Mascara

I think these are still available on the Mac website, if you didn't pick up these sets before Christmas I highly recommend them!

Face Of The Day Using Mac Club

I have been at home all week with a chest infection and I was getting stir crazy, still not feeling great but just needed to get out of the house so last night me and my boyfriend went out for something to eat.
I was catching up on blogs during the day and saw a post by Lipstick Rules on her love for Club eyeshadow, she linked to a Pixiwoo video where Nic did a Victoria Beckham inspired smokey eye using Club. To be honest this is one of the first Mac shadows I ever bought but I have never used it, I just admired it in the pan but never actually braved using it.
After watching the video I was inspired to give it ago! Obviously it doesn't look exactly like Nic's version but I still really like it! In the video Nic went very bronzed and wore a nude lip, I can't pull off that much bronzer and decided that I wanted to go all out and have a red lip too! So here is my take on the look.

Face Of The Day - Another Smokey Green Look

For Christmas my Boyfriends Dad got me the Mac Warm Thrillseekers pigment set, the colours in it are gorgeous, I haven't been able to play with all the colours yet but I used Gilded Green pigment in a smokey eye I wore the other day and its gorgeous! I own a lot of pigments and samples and I have never used a whole one so I think the sets that come out at Christmas are a great way to get a reasonable sized product for a good price.
On to the face of the day, I was also trying a Chanel foundation sample that came in a magazine and it was a shade or two too dark for me really but I really liked the finish.

Shu Uemura Haul And Eye Of The Day

In the Selfridges sale I picked up the Shu Uemura Bow Wow Magic Queen palette, you gotta love the name!

It contains 3 eyeshadows, a Cream Liner,Cream Highlighter and a blush. I usually love Shu Uemura blushes but this one is not great, it took a lot of building up for it to show up on my skin and is a bit of a glitter bomb. The Highlighter is also more glittery then shimmery but I do actually like it, you just have to apply it sparingly.
Here is an eye look I did using this palette

I used the lightest gold on the inner third, the taupe on the rest of the lid and the darker gold in the outer corner and in the crease. I am in love with the taupe shade, it's a gorgeous colour and I can see myself using it alot.

Nails Of The Week - Milani Cyberspace

As you can tell from the sunshine in the photos, these were taken a good while ago! I am slowly working my way through the backlog!

This is one of the polishes I picked up in Target when I was in America last year, I got 3 of the Milani holos and the blue was the first one I tried. The holo effect in these polishes is really nice, the wear was pretty good too.

If you can get Milani polishes then I do really recommend these holo ones!

This is the last of the looks I have for you from the BOS Vol 3. There are so many different combinations you can create with this palette. For this look I decided to go out of my comfort zone. Nails Of The Week - OPI She's Golden and Konad

Hey!
Long time no blog again! I hope you all had a great christmas and new years! Mine was really nice, just enjoyed it with my family. I got a new camera so hopefully you will notice an improvement in the quality of my photos!
I got a set of OPI's from Brand Alley awhile ago and one of the colours included was She's Golden, I don't think I really have the skintone to pull off such pale colours so I got out the konad and stamped one of the full nail designs on it. I ended up absolutely loving the results and kept it on for almost a week which is probably a record for me! Anyway on to the pictures

So what do you think? Any Konad plate reccomendations?

Urban Decay Book Of Shadows 3, Look 1 Golden Browns

This is a short series I meant to post way back when I first got the new Urban Decay Book Of Shadows but I just didn't get round to it, I have done 3 different eye looks using the shadows in the set and I will post them over the next week.
I really do love the book of shadows, I think they are such good value for the amount of product you get and I think its a great way to try out a variety of different colours. I know that they still have these available in Debenhams so if you haven't picked one up yet then I highly recommend it.
For this look I created a fairly neutral smokey golden brown look.

Products Used

Bobbi Brown Corrector Light Bisque
Make Up Forever HD Powder

UD Smog In Outer Corner And Blended Into Crease

The only thing missing from these palettes are highlight shades, this one does have a white but its a bit of a glitterbomb!
