I will be AWOL for awhile

Hey!

Just to let you know I will be awol from here for awhile, I am going to San Diego to visit friends tomorrow! Expect a major US haul when I get back! But I must keep repeating the mantra in my head "Will not buy Eyeshadow, Do not need eyeshadow" lol!

So I jumped on the Lash bandwagon...

and picked up two pairs of the Girls Aloud lashes! I got Nicola and Cheryl, I'm sure you have seen plenty of pictures of these by now!
Just wanted to let you know that these are on offer in Superdrug, the whole eyelure range is buy one get one half price. Although there are no signs saying these are included they are! With the discount it works out to £7.33 for the two pairs!
And if anyone in the London area is looking for them they had loads of all of them in the Superdrug on Oxford Street near Marble Arch!

A surprise bargain haul!

I hope everyone has had a lovely Saturday! I can't believe how lovely the weather has been! It's imposible to be miserable when the sun is shining! Anyway I went to an outlet centre in Braintree today as my Mum wanted to get a radley bag. While we were there I found a shop called "All Wellan Good" they had some really good stuff!! Loads of bedhead products, perfumes, skincare but of course I was instantly drawn to the make up! They don't have a huge range of brands but they do have some NYX, Urban Decay and Revlon products! They also had a lot of products on sale from the already discounted price! So this is what I picked up , I spent the grand total of £27.70!

I really wanted to get some of the Girls Aloud lashes but they were sold out when I got to Superdrug so I was really happy when I found these! They are really different than any of the lashes I already have and they were only £3.50 each!

These are the eyeshadows I got,
NYX trio opal/platinum silver/luster which was reduced to £2.95
Revlon Soft On The Eyes in Head in the clouds reduced to £2.95
Urban Decay loose pigment shadow in Shattered for £5.95, I already have two of these and paid full price for them at Boots which is about £12!!
My ultimate bargain of the day Urban Decay Matte shadow in Chronic for £1!!! This was the only shade they had but I love it! This is my first Matte shadow from Urban Decay and the texture is amazing, its so soft and silky!

I picked up a NYX diamond sparkle lipstick in Sparkling Silk. This was on sale for £1.95 and as soon as I saw it I thought of MAC Bubbles! I skipped on Bubbles as I really didn't want to spend that much money on a lipstick I wasn't sure I would use much! Obviously at £1.95 this was much more affordable and I actually really like it!

I am going to have lots of fun playing with this stuff tomorrow! Today I was wearing my new favourite eyeshadow combination of MAC Vex & Shale, its so simple but I really like it!

Whats hot and not!

Ok so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and do one of these posts as I love reading them!

Hot:
1. There's only 10 days till I go on holiday to LA/San Diego!!!!!!!!!!!
2. My Nan seeming much better after her Bypass operation, I was so worried
3. Swapping! I am waiting for the Nars 9947 palette to arrive!
4. Marks & Spencer £2 lunch, bargain! (More hauling money for the USA!!!)
5. My friend getting me goodies from the CCO, she got me Helium pigment, Gracious Me shadestick and a mascara (Thanks Paula!)

Not:
1. No money to spend as saving it all for holiday
2. Maybelline dream Satin Liquid foundation, really wanted to love this but it broke me out :-(
3. The messed up weather, I seem to either be freezing or overheating!

So there are definately more hots, can you tell I am excited for my holiday!

Inglot eye of the day!

So today I thought I would try out the Inglot eyeshadows I picked up at westfield last month and I have to say I am really impressed with them! It was £11 for the 3 shadows in the palette and there are hundreds of colours to choose from, the only negative is that I have no idea of the names of these shadows as I can't get them out!

My MAC return experience

Ok so I thought I would share you with you my experience of returning an item to MAC! I have read many times that MAC have a no quibble refund policy as long as it is within 28 days with receipt and original packaging.
So last week I approached an MUA about buying an under eye concealer. She used Select moisturecover on me and initially I was pleased with the result so I bought it!
When I got home 3 hours later it seemed to have disappeared! I wanted to give it a fair try so the next two mornings I used it and I really had to layer it on to get any kind of effect and it just seemed to sink into fine lines and make the whole area look worse!
So I went back in today and picked up a couple of other things and went to the till, I asked if I could return the item and the MUA looked horrified! She just kept saying “But you have used it” I had to say about ten times that I just wasn’t happy with it and I have much cheaper concealers that work better than this! She basically said no but I said that as far as I was aware the return policy was if something was not suitable you could return it! Anyway she went of to find a manager and meanwhile the queue behind me was getting longer and longer! To be honest I felt like just giving up and leaving but thought why should I! Anyway in the end she couldn’t find a manager so approached one of her colleagues who was a lovely girl, she came straight over and asked me why I wanted to return it and then with no fuss at all she turned round to the original MUA and said that it was absolutely fine to exchange it for something else! The MUA did apologise to me in the end!
This is the first time I have ever returned anything to MAC as I usually love everything I buy but hopefully if I ever have to again I will have a better experience!
Has anyone else encountered any problems returning stuff??

My top 6 eyeshadows!

I have seen this take going round on Youtube so thought I would do it here!
It was really hard to just pick 6!

Ok so these are the eyeshadows I have picked out, most of them are in palettes as I find this a great way to get a number of different shadows for a bit less money!

Clockwise from top

Mac Mineralise eye shadow duo in Earthly Riches: I have counted this as two because of the two different shades. This is a gorgeous taupe/grey with pink veining and a purple, they are quite sheer but can be built up easily.

Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow in Undergound: This was my favourite colour for a long time! It's really pigmented so a little goes a long way!

MAC Satin Taupe: Don't really need to describe this, I am sure most have or have seen this!

Urban Decay shadow in YDK: This is a gorgeous dark brown/gold shade,actually works really well with underground.

The silver from 17 shadow trio in Smoky Quartz: This is honestly the best Silver shadow I own and the texture is amazing!
